Leah Mahmot started teaching in June 2012 at her new assignment at a school in her own village.
"I am very, very happy Cheryl," Leah wrote in a letter. "I felt I was floating. I didn't know what to do, all I knew was I was extremely happy at that moment."
With the salary she earns teaching at a government school, instead of a private school, Leah was able to send her nephew Benjie back to school and her other nephew Joven to a one-year vocational automotive course.
